Supporting Inverell Lions Club's Drought Appeal, more than 30 tonnes of dog and cat food will be distributed to rural residents locally and those in Ashford, Yetman, Warialda, Bingara, Moree, Bundarra and Glen Innes.
After being approached for support by Lions president Tom Cattell, the company believed it was a responsibility they owed to the community to contribute and assist farmers impacted by drought across the district.
Real Pet Food Company Inverell operations manager Peter Oliver said the final pallet was picked up on Thursday by Andrew Irwin and Peter Brown from Inverell Freighters.
"We didn't know, at the time, how much we'd be donating but we knew it would be a fair amount.

"Inverell Freighters had already told us they were helping the Lions Club move other bits and pieces for their drought appeal and they said they'd have trucks available to move the pallets of pet food for us," he said.
Mr Cattell and fellow Lion Peter Kearsey were on deck to help out. In Inverell, pet food has been a popular request from farmers who visit the Lions Club's Ring Street drought pop-up shop.
"The first thing they ask when they walk in, they don't worry about themselves, they worry about feed for their pets and we're absolutely over the moon to be able to give them a bag of dog food or cat food thanks to Real Pet Food Company," Mr Cattell said.
With another site in Dubbo, Real Pet Food Company is aware of the plight farmers are facing as far as drought is concerned.
Mr Oliver said the company wanted to see what they could do from a pet food angle. "We know how much people love their pets."
It's not the first time they've donated to assist during a natural disaster either. Real Pet Food Company gave a number of pallets to local bushfire relief.
Mr Cattell said Real Pet Food Company has donated sample bags of pet food which the Inverell Lions Club will be distributing to locals at a stand during the Inverell Show next weekend.
